Paige Slominski scored 23 points to lead the Suns to a thrilling
51-47 victory over the Lynx in Saturday morning's Community Educational
Basketball League championship game played at Discovery Middle School.
The Suns built a double-digit lead with two segments left, but
the Lynx stormed back behind the strong play of Maranda Armstead and
Courtney LaVallee.
Jordan Church scored 11 points for the winners while Shannon
Schuit contributed four points and solid defense.
Armstead led all scorers with 30 points. LaVallee chipped in
nine.
