Late goal surge lifts Canton over Plymouth in summer hockey action

  In a heated battle between two PCEP hockey rivals, Canton broke open a close game with six second-half goals to upend Plymouth, 11-4, Tuesday night at the Arctic Pond Ice Arena.

  Parker Pakula's goal late in the first half (the game was divided into two 24-minute halves) gave the Chiefs a 5-4 lead that they would never relinquish.

  Canton's AJ Rosales was a one-man goal-scoring machine, racking up five net-finders while Pakula lit the lamp four times. Brandon Schlieger and Dave Gorski also scored for the Chiefs.

  Mike Schultz scored a pair of goals for the Wildcats, who also received one goal a piece from Ryan Brown and Mike Staub.

  Spencer Craig earned the win between the pipes for the Chiefs.

  Canton racked up 19 minutes in penalties while the Wildcats registered 37.
