Feb. 15, 2010, 11:25 a.m.

Senior defenseman Alec Gilo's overtime goal capped a stunning rally as Canton defeated Detroit Country Day, 6-5, Friday night in a non-conference boys hockey game.

The Chiefs trailed 5-2 with 10 minutes left before surging back to clip the Yellowjackets and improve their record to 11-10-1 heading into this week's KLAA playoffs.

Kyle Korte scored the equalizer a short time after goalie Spencer Craig was pulled for an extra attacker with the Chiefs trailing 5-4.

Jordan Smith had a huge game for the winners, notching a hat trick. Garrett Bryden dished out three helpers and Riley Hoernschmeyer also tallied a goal for Canton.
