Canton Chiefs annual baseball
camp set for June 21-24

March 24, 2010, 8:30 p.m.

  The 2010 Canton Chiefs Baseball Camp will be held June 21-24 from 9:30 to 2 p.m. each day at the Canton varsity baseball field.

  The camp is for kids between the ages of 7 and 15 years old. Parents are encouraged to register their kids early because the number of campers is limited.

  Campers will receive a camp T-shirt, lunch each day and instruction from the following coaches with college and pro baseball playing backgrounds: head coach Mark Blomshield (Western Michigan University), John Johnson (Siena Heights), Steve Howard (George Mason University/Pittsburgh Pirates), Jim Wisniewski (Central Michigan University/South Alabama University), John Wright (Grand Valley State University), Justin Latin (Madonna University) and current players in the Canton baseball program.

  The camp includes four days of group and individual instruction in all phases of the game, including throwing, fielding, hitting, base-running, pitching and baseball-specific exercises for improving arm strength, speed and agility.
