
Canton's boys cross country team turned in a second-place effort
at Saturday's Monroe Jefferson Invitational, compiling 83 points.
Brighton won the competition with 27 points. Livonia Churchill
(105), Ann Arbor Huron (118) and Monroe (119) rounded out the top five
spots.
Monroe's Austin Whitelaw was the overall winner, covering the
5,000-meter course in 15:47.
Miles Felton was the top Chief, finishing fifth in 16:48. Also
running well for Canton were Mitch Clinton (eighth in 16:59), Bradon
Conley (13th in 17:09), Keegan Sullivan (27th in 17:58) and Tom
Walkinshaw (30th in 18:01).
On Tuesday, the Chiefs improved to 3-0 in the KLAA South
Division with an 18-45 victory over Livonia Franklin.
Clinton was the winners' fastest runner, crossing the line in
17:35, 20 seconds ahead of Felton. Also running well for Canton were
Bradon Conley (18:09), Keegan Sullivan (19:12), Tom Walkinshaw (19:29),
Kurt Kowalski (19:44) and Alex Krul (20:23).
