Jake Underwood and Matt
Rodgers' offensive skills proved to be way too much for University of
Liggett Wednesday night in the Canton lacrosse team's 15-5 victory.
Underwood and Rodgers scored five goals each while combining for
three assists against the Knights, who went through three goalies
during the 60-minute contest.
The impressive victory improved the Chiefs' record to 8-5.
Also scoring for Canton were Tim Popp (two goals), Trevor Moore
(two goals) and Ben Popp, who recorded a goal and an assist.
Riley Hoernschemeyer and Chris White chipped in with two assists
a piece for the winners.
Goalie Sean Walsh anchored the Chiefs' stellar defensive effort,
stopping 15 Liggett shots.
