Red-White scrimmage wraps up first week of practice for Canton

  Canton's football team wrapped up its first week of practice Saturday morning with its annual Red-White scrimmage at the PCEP varsity stadium.

  Among the highlights were a 40-yard touchdown pass from Ben Merbler to Davion Stackhouse and some crunching hits by the Chiefs' defense.

  The Chiefs open the 2010 season Aug. 27 at Walled Lake Central before hosting Grand Blanc on Sept. 2.
