Canton's girls cross country team got off to a promising start
to its 2010 season Aug. 28 when the Chiefs placed fourth with 106
points.
"Overall, the team ran well, especially considering the hard
training the girls have been running with no real rest up to this
point," said Canton head coach Eric Pahl. "The girls' competition was
tough, as the scores indicate, but the girls competed hard and finished
really well.
"I always feel that these early meets are a learning experience
and now we need to take what we learned and apply it to the coming
meets."

Arbor Pioneer placed second with 89 followed by Northville, which
compiled 103 points.
