Canton's wrestling team started slowly but finished strong in Wednesday's quad meet at New Boston Huron.

  The Chiefs thumped Woodhaven's B squad, 70-3, before taking care of the host Chiefs, 51-16.

  "We came out and wrestled flat in our first dual against Woodhaven, but we bounced back and wrestled with a lot of intensity against New Boston Huron," said Canton coach Cory Mancuso. "Keshav Patel had a good win over a tough wrestler and state qualifier Joe Ferguson of New Boston Huron."

  The Chiefs return to action Saturday at the Woodhaven Duals.
