The Canton Cardinals 10U travel baseball team was in full flight
this past weekend at the Northville Early Bird tournament.
The Cardinals went 4-0 against the area's top-notch competition
on the way to winning the Early Bird title.
On Saturday, the Cardinals muzzled the Clarkston River Dawgs,
10-0, behind a strong outing from Evan Good. In Saturday's nightcap,
the Cards corralled the Northville Mustangs, 14-12, thanks to a strong
effort from MVP Ben Kandah.
In Sunday's Mother's Day semifinal game, the Cardinals gave
their mothers something to smile about, white-washing the Brighton
Bulldogs Orange, 10-0, thanks to an MVP-caliber performance from Billy
Flohr.
The Cardinals then stampeded the Northville Broncos, 9-4, in the
title game Sunday afternoon.
