Plymouth-Canton Cruisers
name new head coach

  The Plymouth-Canton Cruisers swim team recently announced the appointment of a new head coach,  Alexandra Platusich Morgan (Coach “Z”).

  Coach Z most recently served as an age group coach, site director for competitive programs and aquatic programs director at the Finley YMCA in Raleigh, NC.

  Prior to the Finley YMCA position, Z was the age group coach-lead assistant at Club Wolverine Swimming, Inc. 

  She has coached Sectional, NCSA Junior and USA Junior qualifiers.  Before the merger with Club Wolverine, Z was the age group coach-lead assistant at Ann Arbor Swim Club.

  She has a Master’s Degree in Marine Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

  “We are looking forward to Z transforming our program into a perennial state power and developing swimmers who compete at the all levels of swimming," said Scott Kemp, president of the Plymouth-Canton Cruisers.  "We also look forward to working with the community and Plymouth, Canton and Salem high schools to develop high-quality competitive swimmers and leaders that can represent our community."
