Golf pro Bealert holds free clinic to support Susan G. Komen fund-raiser

A free golf instruction clinic took place at Hickory Creek Golf Course on April 3, in support of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the cure.

  This 60-mile walk will be held in Michigan on Aug. 13,14 and 15.

  Tami Bealert, PGA professional, led the clinic that was attended by over 50 participants.  She talked about the three keys to a good set-up.  grip, posture and alignment.

  Bealert also emphasized how the set-up determines how well you swing the club.

  Bealert
will host another free clinic at 2 p.m., May 15, at Hickory Creek Golf Course, which is located at 3625 Napier Rd., Superior Twp., just west of Canton off Ford Rd. and north on Napier Rd.).

  The 3-Day team, "Walking With Hope"  represented by Chris Baron, Kurt Baron, and  Judy VanTuyl, were there to explain the purpose of finding a cure for breast cancer, as well as offering items and seeking donations to help support this cause. 

  Other members of the team "Walking With Hope" include  Joyce and Tom Kenyon; Beth and Steve Minich; and Charisse Miller.  Their goal is to raise over $5,000  by the end of July.
 
  They are looking for walkers to join their team, as well as donations to this cause.
