Grizzlies outlast Celtics, 42-26

  The Community Education Basketball League (CEBL) B League Grizzlies had a tough battle against the Celtics Monday night, winning 42-26.

  Led by Jason Arnold's 14 points, the Grizzlies matched their season-high point total. Also shining for the winners were Regan Fleisher and Colin Lavigne, who both twined eight points, and tough defensive play from Ian Hay, Andy Lentine, Taylor Burke and Lukas Nemanis.

  The Grizzlies jumped out to a large lead early, but the Celtics' tough zone defense allowed them to get back into the game late in the second half.

  Jordan Burg and C.J. Weiloch played well for the Celtics.

  The CEBL season is in full swing with the B League teams (5th and 6th grades) playing Saturday mornings at East Middle School and the C League teams (3rd and 4th grades) playing Saturday mornings at Discovery Middle School.
