The Salem and Canton hockey teams have earned top-10 rankings for their early-season efforts from UnitedStatesHighSchoolHockey.com in the website's first statewide rankings released earlier today.

The 3-2 Rocks are ranked No. 7, one spot ahead of Canton (5-1-1).

Warren DeLaSalle is the No. 1-ranked team in the state according to the poll.

Salem will host South Lyon Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Cultural Center.

The Chiefs' next game is set for Wednesday at 6 p.m. against Wyandotte Roosevelt at the Arctic Edge Ice Arena.

All three P-CEP teams will be playing in key games Friday. Salem will host Plymouth at 8:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Cultural Center while Canton will travel to the Novi Ice Arena Friday night to take on Northville in a 6 p.m. game.

Comprehensive coverage of all three programs will be available this winter on PlymouthCantonSports.com.
