Wildcats fall in OT thriller, 40-38

  Plymouth's girls basketball team dropped a tightly contested overtime thriller to Lakeland Wednesday night, 40-38.

  The regular-season ending loss left the Wildcats with a 6-14 record. They will open the Class A District tournament Wednesday at 5 p.m. against Northville at Novi High School.

  Junior Alex Roberts continued her strong play for the Wildcats, netting 13 points. Senior Stacey Klonowski also played well for the 'Cats, pouring in 10.

  Rounding out the scoring ledger for Plymouth were Rachael Hille (five points), Alyssa Burris (three), Isis Haywood (three), Danielle Desilets (two) and Taylor Birman (two).

  Jillian Parsons led Lakeland with 13 points.

  The game was for eighth place in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association.
