earns fifth consecutive
Livonia City championship

This may be a rebuilding year
for Livonia Franklin, but on Wednesday night the Patriots showed that
they have a lot of young, talented wrestlers to work with.
Franklin won seven of 14
weight classes and took home its fifth consecutive city title in the
meet held at Livonia Stevenson High School.
Champions were: Gabe Martinez
(119 pounds), Steve Tuyo (125), Ryan Derry (130), Paul Hanni (135),
Josh Hatfield (152), Matt Roos (160) and Zach Leuenberger (189).
The host Spartans finished
second led by champions Charlie Kokenakes (145) and Andrew Schramm
(215).
Jacob Meadows (112), Jonny
Bannoura (140), Curtis Castleberry (171) and John Shekell (285) were
champions for Livonia Churchill. Castleberry was named the outstanding
wrestler of the meet.
Freshman Michael Weiss (103)
was the lone Clarenceville wrestler to win his respective weight class.
