The 11U Canton Cardinals
travel baseball team dropped a hard-fought, defensive battle to
Northville, 5-4, Thursday night at Millennium Field in Northville.
The setback dropped the Cardinals to 9-5 in the Kensington
Valley Baseball Softball Association.
The Cardinals received strong pitching in the loss from starter
Jason Arnold and reliever Phil Lessnau.
Defensively, the Cardinals were paced by outstanding plays from
Luke Hirshman, Cody Zidzik, Noah Spencer, Connor Breen and Colin Werner.
Offensively, Canton received key hits from Jimmy Walkinshaw,
Mitchell King, Justin Goethe and Evan Voyles.
The team is gearing up for an important tournament in
Frankenmuth next weekend.
