Lock-down defense on both ends of the pitch resulted in
a 0-0 final in Monday night's season-opening match for the
Plymouth's girls' soccer team at Dexter.
Marissa Williams, the Wildcats' junior All-KLAA net-minder,
stopped all three shots the Dreadnaughts fired at her.
"Overall, I thought we outplayed them tonight," said Plymouth
coach Jeff Neschich. "We just couldn't finish at the offensive end. We
didn't follow up on the opportunities we had.
"At times tonight we looked great, at other times we looked like
we still need a lot of work. But it's early."
The Wildcats have a scrimmage on Wednesday but don't play a game
that counts until after they return from next week's Spring Break.
