The Plymouth boys and girls bowling teams triumphed over Novi
Tuesday in KLAA matches held at Canton's Super Bowl.
The boys defeated the green-clad Wildcats 21-9 behind the
spectacular efforts of Justin Thompson, who rolled games of 235 and
199. Brandon Congdon also figured into the victory with a 197 effort in
game one and a 159 in game two.
The winners were bolstered by the consistent efforts of Zack
Behr, who registered games of 169 and 171. Rob Korstjens recorded a
two-game series of 297.
Matt Bracey (151) and Andrew Fraser (172) both threw one game
each for Plymouth.
Nick Kuczujda led Novi with a two-game series of 382. Ben
VanZoest also shined, carding games of 158 and 225.
Plymouth captured both Baker games, 148-141 and 183-161.
Plymouth's girls team defeated the visiting Wildcats, 22-8,
thanks to Allyson Gibbs' team-high 331 series (183 and 148 games).
Kristyn Sturtz (292) and Mackenzie Carlson (314) also bowled well for
the 'Cats.
Mandy Martin contributed games of 142 and 134 for Plymouth,
which split the two Baker games before storming back to win the regular
matches handily, 751-683 and 725-670.
Novi won the
boys junior-varsity contest, 19-11. Ryan Rockov led Plymouth with a 355
series.
