Wildcat golfers improve to 8-0
with 24-stroke victory over Chiefs

  Plymouth's girls golf team extended its dual meet record to 8-0 Wednesday after upending cross-campus rival Canton, 180-204.

  Kelsey Murphy was the match medalist, firing a 35 on the challenging Hilltop layout. Sarah Thompson (45), Lindsay Dean (50) and Christy Pattison (50) also scored for the Wildcats.

  Paige Osler continued her strong play for the Chiefs, firing a 45. Chloe Luyet (52), Ariel Alber (53) and Kelsey McDougall (54) also scored for Canton.

  "Kelsey Murphy is a very talented golfer and made the difference today," said Canton coach Tom Alles. "We finished the the dual match season at .500, which is an improvement over last season.

  "Paige Osler is peaking at the right time for post-season play. Her game has been solid."

  The KLAA Kensington Conference meet is set for Tuesday at 8 a.m. at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Canton.
