The beat goes on for Plymouth's boys country team, whose string
of dual-meet victories stretches back to the fall of 2008.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats dispatched Livonia Franklin, 18-41,
behind stellar No. 1 runner Joe Porcari's 16:53 clocking.
The Wildcats dominated the on-the-rise Patriots, claiming six of
the top seven spots to improve to 3-0 in the KLAA South Division
heading into next week's critical battle against unbeaten Canton.
Derek Gielarowski wasn't far behind Porcari's fast pace, placing
second in 17:04. Franklin's Austin Jones earned third-place points with
a time of 17:28, but the Patriots couldn't hang with the Wildcats'
depth.
Brandon Dalton took fourth in 17:54, just ahead of teammates
Jimmy Maciag (17:57) and Justin Heck (18:03).
Garrett Neumann (18:25) and Liam Cardenas (18:26) also excelled
for coach Jon Mikosz's surging squad.
Also scoring for Franklin were Mike Witt (19:14), Josh Beesmeer
(19:48), Gabe Martinez (20:07) and Chad Walters (20:39).
