Alec Breckenridge's stock continued to rise at Saturday's
Brighton team tournament.
The freshman joined Jordon Birman as perfect 5-0 performers as
Plymouth registered a 3-2 mark in the talent-rich team tournament.
"The team had
a great day overall, beating the teams we should have by large
margins," said Plymouth coach Quinn Guernsey. "It would have been nice
to wrestle Franklin and Fenton a little closer, but both teams proved
to be bad matchups for us."
"Alec continues to impress everyone with his 5-0 day. Jordon
Birman had a great day at heavyweight, a spot he typically has to split
with fellow senior Wally Eppler, who was out sick."
Plymouth
opened with a 61-15 triumph over Southgate Anderson's "B" squad. The
Wildcats then thumped Walled Lake Wester, 63-18 before suffering their
first setback, a 49-18 loss to the Patriots.
Coach Guernsey unit split its final two matches: a 69-12 rout of
Lutheran High North and a 51-19 loss to Fenton.
Shadi Jammoul, Jimmy Ahearn, Brett Echols and Brendon Varner all
went 4-1 for Plymouth
