Everything was clicking for Plymouth's volleyball team Tuesday
night, which was an unfortunate occurrence for Westland John Glenn.
The Wildcats defused the Rockets in four games, 25-13, 25-18,
21-25, 25-19, to improve to 10-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the KLAA South
Division.
"We finally played outstanding volleyball tonight with all
cylinders running together," said Plymouth head coach Kelly McCausland.
"Everything was finally clicking like we have been waiting for all
season.
"I am so proud of our back court play tonight. Our passing and
defense led to an aggressive offensive night."
The catalyst of the Wildcats' phenomenal night was senior
captain Kayla Bridge, who owned the stat sheet, registering 19 kills
and 24 digs while passing the ball at 100-percent efficiency.
"Kayla was on absolute fire, offensively and defensively,"
McCausland raved.
Jessica Scott also sparkled for the winners, distributing 35 set
assists while hitting 100 percent on her serves.
Other players who made major contributions to the triumph were
Dani Risi (14 kills), Madelyn Betts (eight kills), Mariah Tesarz (24
digs) and Lindsay Stemberger (nine digs, 100 percent serving).
