Whenever Plymouth's volleyball team encountered rough seas in
its match against Wayne Memorial Thursday night, the Wildcats turned to
its Bridge.
Senior captain Kayla Bridge was instrumental in the Wildcats'
25-19, 25-22, 25-16 sweep of the Zebras, accounting for 14 kills in 20
attempts. The multi-faceted player also chipped in with 11 digs and a
perfect night at the service stripe.
"Besides Kayla's swings, our offense was lacking the power and
consistency we had worked on all week at practice," noted Plymouth
coach Kelly McCausland.
Rachael Hille played a pivotal role in the Wildcats' game three
triumph, contributing a solo block and a seven-point serving run in
match-clincher.
Also shining for the winners were: Lindsay Stemberger (10 digs)
and Mariah Tesarz (15 digs).
The Wildcats improved to 5-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the KLAA South
Division.
