A Plymouth-Canton Educational
Park hockey rivalry will carry over to the post-season next week.
Salem and Plymouth, who tied for first in the KLAA South
Division along with Livonia Churchill this season, will square off
Monday, March 1, at 8:15 p.m. at Eddie Edgar Arena in a Division 1
pre-Regional showdown.
The Wildcats are 17-5-1 heading into Tuesday's KLAA cross-over
game against Pinckney (at Chelsea Ice Arena). The Rocks took a 12-7-3
mark into Saturday's game against Flint Powers.
The winner of the March 1 game will take on the winner of the
Livonia Churchill-Livonia Stevenson showdown. The pre-Regional final is
set for March 3 at 7:15 p.m.
The pre-Regional winner will go up against the winner of the
Northville pre-Regional, which includes Brighton, South Lyon, Novi
Detroit Catholic Central and Northville.
Canton will open its Division 2 post-season on March 2
against Livonia Franklin at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena. The opening
face-off is set for 7 p.m. A victory would propel the Chiefs into the
pre-Regional title game against the Farmington Falcons on March 4 at 7
p.m. at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena.
The pre-Regional victor will advance to the Regional title game
against the winner of the pre-Regional No. 23, which includes
Woodhaven, Southgate Anderson, Trenton and Wyandotte Roosevelt.
