Novi's
girls cross country team got off to a sizzling start in Tuesday's dual
meet against Salem, but in the end the Wildcats got "Tripp"-ed up.
Fueled by the strong first-place effort of junior Victoria
Tripp, the Rocks upended Novi, 22-39, to improve to 3-0 and claim sole
possession of first place in the Kensington Lakes Activities
Association's Central Division. The Wildcats dropped to 2-1.
Tripp won the race in 19:29, four seconds faster than Novi's top
runner.
Senior captain Jordyn Moore also turned in an inspired effort
Tuesday, placing third in 20:04.
Also scoring for Salem were sophomore Kelly Kerwin (sixth in
20:36), Autumn Burin (seventh in 20:51) and Kara Booms, who placed
