The Plymouth Reign 11U Green
and White teams rolled through the St. Clair Shores Waterfront
Invitational this past weekend, taking two of the top four spots,
including the championship.
The teams split Friday night with the Green squad winning its
match over Windsor Croatia while the White fell to the St. Clair Shores
Snipers.
On Saturday, the two teams went undefeated on the rain-soaked
pitches. The Green team posted a 4-2 win and a 2-all draw while the
White unit rallied for a 3-2 victory before posting a 4-0 shutout in
game two.
In Sunday's championship round the White team dropped its
semifinal match while the Green battled to a 3-2 overtime triumph in
the title game.
The teams will look to continue their success at next weekend's
19th Annual Dearborn Soccer Tournament.
