Riversharks post extra-inning win over Farmington Hills Mud Hens

May 7, 2010, 9:55 p.m.

The Motor City Riversharks 10U travel baseball team pushed across five runs in an extra inning Thursday  night to earn a 12-7 victory over the Farmington Hills Mud Hens.

Kyle Winfrey picked up the win in relief. Shark pitchers Brenden Lacorato and Jake Semik also had strong outings.

Offensively, 10 different Sharks chalked up hits in the 18-hit attack. Case Every paced the hit parade with three safeties. Semik, Ryan Boyd, Jeremy Armstead, Davey Farhat, Shane Aigner and Joe Watson also had multi-hit games.

The defensive play of the game was made by Aigner, who made a great running catch in left field to stop a Mud Hens rally.

The Riversharks led 7-4 heading into the final frame, but the Mud Hens pieced together a three-run rally to deadlock the game, forcing the extra inning.
