Fueled by a five-run seventh
inning, the Rockies downed the Athletics, 15-8, Monday night in a
Greater Canton Youth Baseball Softball Association playoff game played
at Plymouth Christian Academy.
The A's led early thanks to a strong mound performance from
Jimmy Ahearn, who yielded three runs over the first four innings. David
Mayer pitched the fifth and sixth innings for the A's while Aaron Brown
took the hill for the seventh.
Alan Teague sparked the Athletics' offense, tallying two hits,
two runs scored and four stolen bases. He also played a role in the
defensive play of the game when he threw out a Rockie base-runner from
left field in the sixth.
More details of the game will be added once they become
available.
