Stone throws in 25 to lead Rocks
over Livonia Stevenson

  Sara Stone  poured in 25 points Friday night to lead Salem's girls basketball team to a 55-37 victory over Livonia Stevenson in a KLAA Central Division game.

  The victory improved Salem's record to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the division. Salem has now won three consecutive games.

  "We did a good job handling their press and we had a nice fourth quarter," said Salem coach Fred Thomann. It was a very competitive game."

  Stone registered 25 points to go along with her four assists and five rebounds.

  Fellow senior Brett de Bear also shined, notching 13 points and six assists. The team's third captain, Rachel Norman, contributed eight points while Tabitha Mann nearly recorded a double-double with seven points and nine rebounds.

  Salem was near perfect at the free  throw line, nailing nine of 10 shots.
 
  The Rocks led 17-9 after one quarter, 31-19 at the half and 39-29 with eight minute s to play.
