Salem's girls soccer team remained perfect Saturday afternoon when it blanked host Walled Lake Central, 2-0.

Following a scoreless first half, the 4-0 Rocks struck first on Emily Lundh's goal assisted by Abbi Giaier.

Madeleine Vala tallied an insurance marker after securing a pass from Gina Goble.

Tabitha Mann notched the shutout in goal for the Rocks, stopping all three shots that came her way.

"Madeleine was relentless all day," said Salem coach Joe Nora. "She's stepped up all year and this was her best game thus far.

"Lauren Booth, Lindsey Roy, Jenna Coon and Megan McCormick held our back line and limited their chances on goal.

"I was pleased with how we knocked the ball around in back. We showed patience and it paid off."
