First-year Salem girls golf coach
anxious to revive Rocks' program

  For the past two falls, Salem's girls golf program has been dormant due to a lack of players.

  First-year head coach Ryan Nimmerguth is enthusiastically ready to change the Rocks' rocky recent past.

  Nimmerguth, who led the Salem boys team to a success-filled season this past spring, will be holding tryouts for the 2011 girls squad beginning Aug. 11 at 4 p.m. at Fox Hills Golf Course.

  The season runs through the beginning of October. Extensive experience in the sport is not a pre-requisite to trying out, Nimmerguth said.
