Plymouth's
baseball team was limited to two hits Monday afternoon in a 4-1 setback
to South Lyon in a Kensington Lakes Activities Association cross-over
game.
The loss dropped the Wildcats to 1-2 heading into Wednesday's
home double-header against Livonia Franklin.
Plymouth received solid pitching as well from starter Mike
Nadratowski, who blanked the Lions through four innings before yielding
four runs in the fifth. Jackson Burdette quieted the Lions' bats over
the final 1.2 innings.
"We just didn't hit today," said coach Bryan Boyd. "Mike pitched
well. Jackson was also a major bright spot in relief today."
The defensive play of the day unfolded in the fifth when a Tyler
Gobel-to-Matt Priebe relay nailed a South Lyon runner at the plate.
Nadratowski and Rich Gugliemi registered the Wildcats' only two
hits.
