Last season was the strongest showing in the history of Observerland wrestling.  The area had the best team in the state and two more teams that were ranked in the top 15 in the state.  Individually, 74 wrestlers made it out of districts, and 38 qualified for the state tournament.  However, more than half of those wrestlers graduated or moved out of the area, so what does that mean for this upcoming season?

  It is very early, but the 2010-2011 season portends to be just as exciting as the last.  Detroit Catholic Central is ranking number one by MichiganGrappler and Livonia Franklin and Canton appear to have very strong teams.  There were plenty of underclassmen on the brink of making it to the state tournament last year and this year’s crop of freshmen may be the strongest the area has seen.  Below is a very early ranking of the top wrestlers in our area.
