Three Chiefs medal at South Lyon Invite

  Canton's girls cross country team displayed its potential Saturday with a fourth-place finish at the South Lyon Invitational.
  Three Chiefs medaled in the event: Bianca Kubicki (eighth place in 20:40), Emily Southern (15th in 21:27) and Rachel Rohrbach (22nd in 21:50).
Also scoring for the Chiefs were Katie Grimes (who missed medaling by one position), who placed 26th in 22:10) and Abigail Gorzalski, who crossed the line in 27th place with a time of 22:12.
  "I was happy with the way the girls ran," said Canton coach Eric Paul. "Our training is designed so that we're running best at the end of the season, but I was pleased how we started."
  Ann Arbor Pioneer won the event going away after compiling just 31 points. Northville was second (78), Livonia Franklin was third (86) and Canton was fourth with 98 points.
