Local hockey team skates to title

The Canton Crush PW AA travel hockey team won the Rock 'N Roll Classic Cup Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio, last weekend.

  The Crush defeated teams from Hatfield, PA; Woodhaven, MI; Geauga Lake, OH; and Chicago, IL.

  The Crush captured its semifinal game in dramatic fashion over the Geauga Lake Leafs, scoring with 90 left in overtime. The Crush defeated the Chicago Hawks in the final game, 4-3, netting the winning goal with just 4.5 seconds to play.

  The tournament MVP was Joe Nevalo.
