Plymouth icers corral Mustangs, 2-0

  Fueled by a stingy defensive effort and  a clutch third-period goal from Colin Wright, Plymouth's hockey team upended Northville, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at Compuware Arena.

  The victory improved the Wildcats' record to 14-3-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association.

  Coach Paul Fassbender's squad has now outscored its opponents, 84-41, this season.

  Michael Justus earned the shutout in goal for the winners, stopping 28 shots.

  Following two scoreless periods, Wright lit the lamp with 11 minutes left, picking up assists from Cody Hunt and Ryan Renault.

  Zach Gambrell added an empty-net goal from Evan Swieczkowski with 90 seconds left to insure the win.
