Plymouth golfers break record
in 24-stroke rout of Livonia Franklin


  The future is now for the Plymouth girls golf team.
  Led by a pair of freshmen, the Wildcats improved to 3-0 on Friday with a 185-209 victory over Livonia Franklin in a KLAA South Division match held at Idyl Wyld Golf Course in Livonia. The 185 total was a nine-hole record for the Wildcats.
  Plymouth was paced by ninth-graders Kelsey Murphy, who fired a 42, and Sarah Thompson, who carded a 44.
  Also scoring for coach Chris Moore's squad were Chloe Marentic (49) and Maggie Furlong, who shot a 50.
  Mandy Kirsch (51) and Christy Pattison (60) also played well for the winners.
  The Patriots were led by Alexis Smith, who fired a 47.
  The Wildcats return to action this afternoon against Canton. The 3 p.m. contest will be played at Fox Hills Golf Course in Plymouth Township.
