Salem's soccer
team dropped a 2-0 decision to Warren DeLaSalle Thursday night on the
Pilots' home pitch.
"Overall, we played very well, creating a number of scoring
opportunities," said Salem coach Ed McCarthy. "But we could not score."
McCarthy praised the play of senior forward Alex Tramel.
The Pilots scored once in each half.
"Their first goal came on a rebound off a great save by Sasa
Miskovic," said McCarthy. "DeLaSalle is very strong with one of the top
midfield lines in the state. I expect they will be a top five team when
the rankings come out on Monday."
Salem's slate of opponents next week includes South Lyon
(Tuesday), South Lyon East (Thursday) and Canton (Saturday).
