Rock netters earn third invitational title

Winning weekend tournaments is becoming habit-forming for Salem's tennis team.

On Saturday, the Rocks won the Woodhaven Warrior Classic, their third title in three tournaments this season.

Salem finished with 19 points, one more than Warren DeLaSalle and five more than third-place Chelsea.

The Rocks scored in every flight Saturday. Three doubles teams took gold: the No. 1 duo of Brock Foster and Josh Perrin; the No. 2 team of Andy Steinman and Mike Keum; and the No. 3 tandem of Cody Hazen and Alek Zultowski.

Singles players Jacob Scott, Dion Walker and John Kang all placed second in their respective flights.

Previously this season the Rocks won the Wildcat Invitational and the Monroe Invitational.

The team is coached by Bill Nelson.
